Quoting Julian Mehnle <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > "You will lose mailinglist mail"? Huh?? I never had such a problem. Why > would that happen?
For those of us who are used to "RFC-'should'-friendly" MTA's and MLM's, it seems odd -- after all, five days or more of retries, right? But in the past few weeks, I've been plagued by the following: - a mass-mailer provided as a service for non-profits that is configured to retry transmission 4 times within 2 hours and abort the transmission - the Yahoo Groups policy of treating a single 5xx as reason to disable delivery of all groups to any given address, even if it's a spam/virus block or other content-related 5xx ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
