Yes, but that's what mailbot is for, to autoreply to a message.

So I would really like to have an autoreply solution that does not quote the original message (or placing a quote exceptionally below the reply because it's only for completeness and has no real coherence to the automatic reply).

Well, you can specify -T forwardatt, which puts the original message as an attachment to the autoreply.

Would you accept a patch that adds a command line argument to get rid of quoting if I create one? Should not be that difficult, I think...

Yes, but I'm not quite sure that you have the right use case.
