i rather like the idea of reducing the amount of duplicated content that
comes to my inbox on a daily basis, and i would certainly enjoy being able
to embed more social media tools. i'm not entirely disenchanted with the
current wiki, and my knowledge of drupal is definitely limited, but its
extensibility seems very attractive, and the amount of cleanup would
seemingly be reduced from 'a fair amount' to pretty much nothing. also,
there just seems to be something inherently displeasing about locking anyone
out, offensive or no, and i can only imagine the administrative overhead is
daunting. when someone is locked out - for example, in a dispute over the
meaning of the word 'spam,' as i recall from a previous thread - i would
assume they compose some sort of appeal, and then the facts are reviewed,
and then you must make a decision on whether the action was justified?
wouldn't it be preferable to reallocate the amount of time you must lay
hands on each of those cases to something more constructive?
