I am like Angel and I have left for up to three weeks. I restock everything, give them instructions on how to fix the internet, I give them a Visa credit card worth $50 to $100 for any extra expenses they come across, and hang a note.
The point person is a community member that is there enough to fix problems, lives nearby, and has a good relationship with the rest of the members. Don't over think it, prepare, and go. Your community is most likely less reliant on you than you think.
