But your "apology" presupposed that he, (and all who disagree with
you) to be your inferior, ignorant, and benighted, that we hold
foolish views because we are ignorant trailer trash blinded by rigid
ideology,. that if we bothered to check the facts, facts you do not
bother to research, check, or present, we would discover that you
were right and we are wrong.
Your "apology" presupposes that the truth is so well known to be on
your side that our obvious and immense ignorance must be known
even to ourselves, thus making it redundant for you to actually
know, let alone present, any actual facts or information. All you
need to do is inform us of our ignorance, and our duty to achieve
the same state of enlightenment as yourself.
Because you are so enlightened you presuppose that you can be
automatically correct without any actual knowledge of the topics
under discussion -- as for example in your glib assumption of
immense superiority in expertise in economics over David
Friedman, when you did not even know the key publications of the
area of economics in which he primarily deals.
We of course, notice that you know nothing about the facts you
glibly assume must support you if you were to stoop to actually
check them, and we find it insulting that you should presume to be
the equal of we who know vastly more about these topics than
yourself, let alone presume us to be your inferiors.
