Leelock, I'm kind of tickled to see where you've landed in your
imagination by supporting all these breakaway independence movements in
Indonesia.
All the time you have been envisioning the cantons of The Swiss as the
perfect democracy. Maybe if Aceh and East Timor can become banking
centers for laundering stolen Third World monies, they can then begin to
move away from the type of Asia democracy that shoots, hangs, and
persecutes.

Madeleine Albright and Clinton might come on board with this idea of
independence and 'self determination' for Aceh, if Malaysia also gets on
board in a reliable manner. But then again, Malaysia is not
Australia.

There is one other way of moving self determination in The Pacific
forward. That would be in supporting a multi-national socialist
Indonesia. But first, Indonesians would have to win the war against
the US to get it. And only after overthrowing the US supported
'Asian democracy'.

Would that be a struggle for 'self determination'? Or is that just
a distraction from helping all those smaller areas looking to split off
from Jakarta?
