>Julien, it is hard to know how to respond to all your one paragraph for
>one paragraph

It would be stupid to do that. You should as you did pick up the bits of my post
which you think are relevant. Quoting me would not hurt but is not absolutely
needed.

>But one thing did read loud and clear, you refuse to understand the
>reasons why Indonesia is a Third World country, and not an imperialist
>bloc country.

No. I said loud and clear the contrary!

> Imperialism to you, ONLY means military dominance, and
>nothing else.

Imperialism for me is a word to which I am not particularily in love with. I can
accept to follow other's definitions as long as they have been stated first and
they are coherent.

> You fail to see the difference, and suggest that we
>just invent another word that equally means BAD ("or plague name"),
>which to you is the definition of the word imperialism.

No. I suggest that you pick another word which doesn't mean bad but the
specific process of invading and colonizing a place so that I will not hurt your
feelings in the future by using imperialism for that as is done in many books.

>Nestor stated-
>Imperialism is the mechanism by which those countries that succesfully

>self-centered capitalist economies extract surplus value from the rest

>And then you replied that this was a different definition than others
>had stated, including myself. This is just not true. Nestor's
>definition of imperialism agrees with mine identically.

You said:

>>>Nowadays, imperialists have already landed with their banking and
>>>financial institutions, hooked the local elites into it, and continually
>>>draw off uncompensated labor from the natives.

This is NOT the same thing for the reasons I've explained. Financial
institutions are only a form of surplus extractions and work against some
imperialist (Nestor's definition) countries. Some countries do extract surplus
but are indebted.

>So try to make some effort in understanding what we are underlining for
>you, rather than just spinnimg circles and puffing out smoke.
>Imperialism is not just "a plague word".

Now, YOU try to understand what people wrote, OK? Then you'll choose if you
should posture or not as someone who can teach me something about
imperialism.
BTW, Nestor introduced this plague thing in the discussion, not me.
