Yep, Carrol
Ya got me there. You really devastated my poor post. You are the BEST!
I daresay you must be right about me filling an auditorium, since obviously
I fail to "reach" you, ever. Instead, I spend far too much time preaching to
the choir.(We "religionists" tend to do that.)It is a failing which has
often been attributed to me, notably by Brother Hallyx.
Some of us have pre-existing assumptions which logic and discourse usually
fail to penetrate. I admit to some. I am the only person on crashlist who
has those failings, it seems.
However, I am gratified to learn that you do have some sympathy for the
truth in Mark's viewpoint. That's good enough for me, actually.
I just know what I know, and I don't know everything. I don't have all the
answers. I try to do my best, and more often than not fall short of the
mark. I don't have all the statistics either, and I damn sure don't have the
manners.
I will take issue with you about one thing you said, however. You called me
and my ilk "snug". We are not snug, oh, no, Precious, we are not snug at
all.
I hope the approaching holidays find you well and provide you with joy.
Brother Tom

learn by observing, and the rest, who have to pee on the electric fence for
themselves." -- Will Rogers
