I don't know how anyone else does it, but on my 1st-gens, I've always used a Dremel w/ a fiberglass-reinforced cutoff wheel. I just make a slit in the cup portion of the endlink-- from one edge toward the middle. Eventually, I can wedge a large flat-blade screwdriver in the slit and twist it to open the cup a little. That releases it from the ball portion of the joint. -scott '85-6 Si
