Yes, a big one.  you're car will never heat up to optimal temperatue in the first place and will run poorly if you live in a colder climate.
lol, I haven't been following this thread and I wish I had from the beginning.  "Watter wetter" type product do indeed work, I can attest to that.  But if you drain it to 15%, then refill with just water, your cooling will be DRASTICLY improved, whether you add the product or not.  Water has a much better cooling capacity then etholyne glycol (green antifreeze) but you add the E.G. to prevent rusting and freezing.  The E.G. isn't there cause it cools better then water.  So the fact that you only run 15% (or less) coolant to get good results from that particular product makes me skeptical, cause you would get cool temps from that mix with or without the product.

What these products really are is just a mild detergent.  you said in your first email:

"it breaks down all the H2O molecular friction, transferring heat from the block much more efficiently."

Well, sort of.  Its a detergent, so its not breaking down molecular friction (hehe) but it IS reducing the surface tension for better contact and conduction of heat.  But its just fancy soap.  =)  So now that you know its just soap, don't freak out if you see some sludge floating around right after you add it, its just washing your radiator.  =)

Hmm, didn't think about that one.  Any downsides?

Have you considered removing the thermostat?

Lee,

I rarely have had heat issues with stock Hondas in the past since like you
said they run cool compared to other cars.  My challenge is the shaved
head/higher compression on the D16Z6 is creating a hotter running motor than
stock which has lots of power during the first few minutes of running, then
slowly starts losing ponies as it warms up (radiator & coolant are new BTW).

Here in FL the heat factor is more dramatic in the summer so I'm willing to
try this stuff and see what happens.  Little Beast is becoming very fun to
drive as I slowly chip away at each issue one by one (ignition, timing,
cooling, etc.).
