No, they still need to converted. The differences in the actual format
are small, but VC always wants to convert the projects to its version.
My tweaks were mostly to have the project work smoothly after converted
(luckily I can add VC8isms that older versions ignore yet are preserved
when the projects are converted).

Part of the problem is that some of the XML gets reordered when the
converted files are saved.

Note that VC2003 aka 7.1 has the same project file issues.
