Personally, I actually like the top menu more. But I agree, a single menu is 
probably the right thing to do. And for a single menu, a menu on the left is 
arguably a better choice because you can have more items, which is important 
for quick access to things like the developer wiki.

I was also already thinking what could be put there instead. This needs some

What I like about right-hand menus is that this IMO generates a more natural 
flow when you first visit the web site: your eye is caught by the homepage 
content on the left first and goes to the navigation on the right. For left-to-
right readers anyways. But a menu on the left is also OK.

For CrystalSpace, I thought of just taking the C with the iconic crystals 
around as an icon. The same can be done for CEL and CELstart, however they 
would look quite similar then. (A solution would be to make all three logos of 
a different color, as res suggested, but I don't know if that would blend well 
with the rest of the website theme, which is only blue - that would have to be 
tried out.)
