Even subscribing to a map doesn't always fix the issue. I haven't been
able to connect to my own custom maps servers even though I am
subscribed to those maps through the workshop. It doesn't download the
map for me even though I am subscribed (there is no folder in the
maps/workshop folder corresponding to that map) and doesn't download
from the server when I attempt to join. If I can't figure out how to
connect to my own server, I can guarantee that most of the community
certainly isn't going to bother with community servers, either.
