Of course, but if you want to ban someone who runs 30 servers with bad
plugins, you can easily get rid of the guy by banning IP instead of
100000+ IP:Port combinations.
GSP's run usually a system where client has ip:port and those cannot be
changed by client. I for example, run a machine with unlimited ports and
several IP's that i can use if i want to.
IP bans are only viable solution - or a system where you have account
which is used to authenticate and log in with the server in order to get
it connected but for CSGO, that system does not exist yet.

Sure, it's easy to switch port but all the people that have favourited
your server lost it from their list.
Valve really need to take a step back and reassess this entire
situation as it's clearly backfired big-time and now affecting peoples
income through no fault of their own.

They ban the IP because it's so much easier to just switch port
than IP. That being said, i don't think they much thought
gameserver providers with this change.

Hello, Vitaliy and dear CS:GO developers!
Can you, please, not block whole IP and just block pair of
IP:port?
I am gameservers hosting provider and found gameservers of my
clients, who
dont break the rules, not unavailable. Its killing for those
business!
Also banned CS:GO Competitive servers, not available for
plugin installation
on my hosting. Its absolutely horribly thing to block whole IP
instead of a
small number of servers (ports) on this IP!
I am individual entrepreneur in hard work on my last some
years just gone in
one moment after this block tactic.
Please, dont let gameservers business suffer cause of some
clients, who
break Valve rules about skins. Block this client (IP:port) and
dont block
whole IP with innocent users.
Hope you unban my affected IP-s and change bans logic:
