I'm not completely sure if so many of you are truly innocent or getting
banned. Have you ran knife plugin, or anything that is now forbidden at
ANY point within the past 2 weeks? I ask because there is so much
commotion and banned servers and all mine and apparently SaitK's (who
has been also long standing server operator like me), are completely fine.
Valve doesn't usually accidentally ban servers, something on your
servers must have been wrong or they have a configuration error
somewhere that leads to false bans. It's the clients that report the
stuff you have to Valve automatically, not the stuff your servers report
or appear to have running.

Well clearly Valve don't have a system checking it either,
they just banned servers with "knife" in the tags.....
So atm you might just want to remove tags like that.

We're of course taking action to inform our clients about this
and have been actively removing these plugins from servers
running with us, but I think you don't fully appreciate how
much work this is when you're talking thousands of servers and
users can upload plugins freely.

action to make sure their clients are following Valves

I mean, isn't it partially their responsibility to make
sure their clients not breaking rules?
But its a bit difficult for them to check hundreds of
servers if they running plugins that break the rules.
But informing clients via mail is very much possible.
