Heinz Don't you think this is why the South African IT market is in such a bad state? We have a lot of "Senior" developers who cant even write a proper hello world application. According to me you can't be called a "Senior" developer before you have worked on and successfully delivered a big commercial product. A developer can't be a senior until he knows the ins and outs of the language he uses and working on a really big system will give a developer the opportunity to learn that and get the experience needed.
