I noticed a lot of 'noise' in java after coding a bit in ruby. All languages start with the premise that the code should be in text, if we can change that we can rid ourselves of all brackets and 'end's and 'elseif's. Getters and setters are starting to ware me down even when generated - no codefolds, just make them go away.
We need to move on from OO - we're pushing a lot of square pegs into the OO hole. I've no idea which direction (haven't really been looking, sorry).
