Tell ya what, Ric, when we can elect our bosses, when we can elect our
landlords, when we can hold referendums on the price of bread, then I'll
start thinking this place is on its way to becoming a democracy. In the
meantime, let's be frank; it's a fascist police state. If you have any
doubts, dress in old clothes, leave your money, credit cards and IDs at
home and go for a walk at night in a rich neighborhood.
The only real democracy is direct democracy. Electoral politics is a scam.
We don't choose our leaders. We choose some of their henchmen.
