Yeah, I'll vote that it is still here on earth, but more likely it does not
even exist anymore as a complete relic.  It disappeared from historical view
a long time ago and there is NO evidence to elucidate where it went or what
became of it.  I find it much too "convenient" that the ark would be just
outside the wall of Jerusalem, only under a relatively few feet of rock, and
directly below where Jesus was crucified.  Presumable so that his blood could
pour on it and sanctify it no doubt.  If this were true others would have
found it before now.  Certainly there are many who would use the Ark for
their own purposes, good or bad.  Mayhap they would all drop dead at the
merest touch?
