There are at least eighty million armed Americans. We don't need an
army. We ARE an army. If anybody ever invades we can kill 'em ourselves.
Why not disband the standing army, pay off the national debt and spend
whatever's left to upgrade our infrastructure.
The only use for a standing army is to bully other countries into
obedience. We should not be doing this. It's immoral. It's expensive. It
makes us the target of terrorists. Better we should mind our own
business. It's the best possible example we could set for the world.
The American people have no vital interests overseas. Only the
corporations have vital interests overseas. Our tax money is going to
pay for their hired mercenaries. Our kin shed their blood so the
corporations can make money.
And no, we don't need cheap gasoline. We don't need gasoline at all. We
can burn alcohol and grow it ourselves. It works for Brazil. It'll work
for us. We'll save blood and treasure and we won't look like bullies.
