And so you chose to blame it all on the one intelligence agency
that has absolutely NO authority to act within the borders of this
country because. .. . . .. ??? For sure, there should be such
plans and procedures in place but I sort of doubt that there are.
Too much belief that none were needed because the cold war is over
and everybody loves us. But this is the sort of muddled thinking
that causes lapses in security. Just stop and take a deep breath
and think for a moment. Different agencies have different areas of
responsibility. The CIA can no more call an air strike than you
can yourself, at least not within the continental United States.
You have the wrong agency, dear. It deals only with foreign govts
and foreign nationals. Once they enter this country, it becomes
FBI. Maybe I should not assume that is well understood by all.

Also, the air traffic controllers are civilian. One would think
there would be all sorts of military radar in effect but obviously
not. The space over the White House is only designated Class "B"
no fly zone. There is obviously not one soul enforcing that.
Remember when the tiny plane landed on the lawn at the White House?
No, I can't give you a link for that but can you give me one
showing exactly who is in charge of protecting this space?

For years, we have scorned the need for such things but have
learned better the hard way. I am sure steps will now be taken to
correct many of these things. Maybe our FBI will even stop
shooting U.S. citizens in their sleep looking for bogus hate crimes
and weapons. Looks like they have a lot to sort out now.

Yes, and I neglected to mention the Pentagon was hit - what? - an
HOUR
after the first plane hit the WTC and forty minutes after the
second? They
shouldn't have needed ANY info from anyone to see they needed to be
on High
Alert. They should have called for fighter reconnoisance over DC
the MOMENT
the second plane hit the WTC.

They have procedures in place for every contingency. There has
to be a
full set of procedures in place to protect Washington within
seconds of
becoming aware of possible terrorist activity anywhere in the
country.
