It has to do with where America spends its money - which was the source of your complaint. You object to funding Israeli atrocities, but have no problem funding Kuwaiti Slavery. >Those other countries do not pretend to be 'democracies'. > Israel and its apologists claim it to be the only 'democracy' in the Middle > East. This is false. It is false, Egypt is a democracy. I don't know, but I'm willing to bet there are more Muslims in the Israeli govt. than Jews in the Egyptian. Again - everyone is allowed to vote in Israel. You are not denied the right to vote, or run for office there, based on ethnicity. > > You seem like a decent sort. Its very funny, but with the same point of view, and the same set of beliefs and statements I am perceived of here as blindly pro Israel, and amongst many Jews I know , am considered to be anti-Israel to the point of reflexivness, and to some -near anti-Semitism. What I will not stand for, from either side, is a unilateral examination or condemnation. People on both sides ignore facts, and shout lies. I won't stand for it. I am against making Palestinian families homeless. I am pro-peace. Regardless of the history one way or another, as things stand today there has to be a Palestinian state. But that does not mean there was a Palestinian state before, or that such a state is occupied now. There is plenty wrong in Israel today, no question - but I don't need to add to that list with lies like only Jews can be citizens, and Arabs are not allowed to vote. I will not say it is OK to blow up children on school buses. Nor will I say it is Ok to bulldoze homes. It is all about critically, viewing the situation with as little bias as possible.
