Thanks, but for the moment, I'm just rediscovering what others
already know (eg. I see from comments in prep-bindist-mingw that
the .pdf version has been taken out because of problems with
fop/xsltproc - I don't know whether that refers to the errors I saw
or whether things have been worse in earlier versions?). Never-
theless, I've been putting my experiences here in the mailing list
archives because that is where I'd google for answers (usually
with the error message as the search term).

As far as I'm able to make any suggestions for improvements, I'd
prefer someone to check them (instead of me committing and others
having to clean up!-), so I won't need commit permission just yet
- perhaps later. I assume that everybody is monitoring this list
for things affecting "their" playgrounds, or should I cc them?

Cheers,
Claus
