that may not work. check with charter before you do.
If the signal is weak charter will tell you to not split the signal more than 3 times to the modem ( at least that's what they told me). Your best bet is to NOT split it more than once if you can.
If splitting situation is ok then you need to call Charter and tell them that your modem is going offline all the time. dont tell them what OS you are using. it doesnt matter. They should be able to tweak the connection from the pole.
