Minor correction - AVG is free for personal use, **INCLUDING** updates. Been using it for many years! It updates automatically per the schedule you set (daily for me), automatically scans both incoming and outgoing email, performs complete scans on your schedule. With version 7 (free), you can even use a separate update source (though I have not used it).


Haven't found anything yet to have gotten though, and, best of all, it is designed as a 'small footprint' package - it has not caused any machine problems like McAfee or Symantec.
