Anyone here us it, recommend it, recommend others?

i use it. works. haven't found anything, though!

on windows, i always just use AVG, from http://www.grisoft.com. it's free, but
not open. or, for $30, you get 2 yrs of protection AND auto-updates.

Any advantage of ClamWin over AVG? In other words, why not use ClamWin instead of AVG, or vice-versa? Or would it be a good idea to use both?

I'm aware of
Spybot-S&D and Ad-Aware, but both are non-FLOSS.

those are anti-spyware, not anti-virus.

Right. From what I understand, under Windows you NEED both an anti-virus package and an anti-spyware package. Are there any FLOSS anti-spyware packages for Windows? A quick google did turn up this article:

The name looks familiar. :)
