[cwe-lug] Building linux newbie

Hello,
 
I have never built linux from scratch. With RedHat 9 that uses linux 2.4 
correct? Fedora uses linux 2.6 is that correct?
 
Where can I get an installation of RedHat 9 and linux 2.4?
