-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I spent a number of hours working with OO base 2.0 this weekend. My conclusion is that I don't know what I'm doing so I didn't get far.
Of course it works like Access in creating tables, forms, reports, etc. (as far as i know access anyway). I concentrated on extending functionality through scripting/programming. A few things to note. *) OO 2.0 now supports Java, Javascript and Python in addition to StarBasic. *) StarBasic is api compatible with VBScript when not using the OO API *) I was able to get a form to run a javascript module (or at least what passes for a javascript module in OO) I don't know how to access the data on the form from. If I knew VBscript and access programming I might have been able to figure that out. But I'm not sure which API should be used to access the data: older VB/Star or new OO? maybe both? I searched for quite a bit and could not find anything that describes the Base api or how to access data in base. I found documents on the other components. If you want to try this stuff out you can go to Tools->Macros something something. you'll see. it's fairly easy to find. - -- JT Morée PC Xperience, Inc. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFDXEhbucZ4lMT2d5IRAgVnAJ9RfYloePp+M2UGjnF0kri736YExQCfZwhS P7yuoSPh2wBfg+GmTYbdq+I= =T64V -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
