So if someone wanted to collaboratively create an audio file, how would one do it? My model would be to use a wiki to create a scaffold or outline and then add links to the audio files. It's not ideal in that the files that one listens to (e.g. ogg files) are not the same as the files needed to edit the content (e.g. audacity project files).
