Some time ago I installed Kanotix and had config problems, re no mouse, sound, etc. and had problem trying fix it. Don't remember version, but it was when it first was available. Maybe later version would like my machine better. Went through same with knoppix, i.e.. worked ok with live cd, but install went bananas. I learned to like distros with config options within my deprived cli prowess.
