Robert. Tried the Knoppix 3.7 CD with the boot message outlined below. It booted fine with a screen without distortion. However, got errors on sound card and tried to config., and got error message that certain needed info was not included in the kernel. The flash drive was not recognized on the desktop. The post indicated the resolution was 640x480, but the screen was full size, like it usually is at 800x600. Other than that, the 2.6 was fine. The 2.4 is friendlier to my equipment. Tony
