Neither.  You'll want a lightweight distro with 128M and less

dont know.  based on debian's installer so might have same scripting
features (which are new for unattended installs).

since it is based on debian it has mostly the same support for
everything that debian does.  k/ubuntu tries to make debian usable for
regular people (debian is really for developers and experienced
users/admins).  it should be more user friendly then vanilla debian.

I am probably going to get WITS to use Xandros but the machines are
faster and have more ram so speed/ram is not as much of an issue.
