Did you find a solution? Also, I was stumbling through my OS X commands and found this one: man mount_ntfs I haven't tried it since I don't have an external NTFS volume. But it looks as though one can mount NTFS under OS X. If you do try it, please let us know how it goes. There's also been some discussion on the SILUG list about UDF (Universal Disk Format), but I don't know enough about it to comment.
