M, I am using MS exchange web-mail client for my e-mails. Thanks Jon, I will
do
that tonight. :You may want to put snd_driver_load="YES" in your
/boot/loader.conf
and then reboot to see if this gets the card working. got the driver to
connect
to the: kldload sound kldload
snd_neomagic pci1: <multimedia, audio> at device 0.1 (no driver attached) and
was able to use cdcontrol and mixer for audio control. config issue 2; I
have
a few cd and dvd application but they can't access the /cdrom or the /dev/acd0
device
there should be a log file the might give me a clue. I am running Xfce4 desktop
environment with xfmovie for dvds and xfcd

Hi,
I installed FreeBSD 6.0 on a Dell Latitude CPi 366MHz cpu, 128Meg RAM, bay DVD,
NeoMagic Sound and Video adapter. I can not get the neomagic 2360 sound card to
work. I was looking at the Windows driver and it emulated the Sound Blaster. I
had
it working in ver 5.2 but not with 6.0. I can not mount the DVDrom drive. I dont
have any device driver attached to neither

Whenever Cecil sends a message to the list, all I see are what look like
Chinese
characters. So, in order to read his message I have to read the raw source. Does
anyone know why this is? I'm guessing it's some sort of mix up between the
charset
setting and my mail client. From the headers, I see that Cecil has set the
charser
as UNICODE-1-1:
>--===============1893703601== >Content-type: text/plain; charset=UNICODE-1-1
>>Content-Transfer-Encoding:
quoted-printable
What do I need to do on my end in order for me to read his messages? Or would
Cecil
need to change something on his client?
