Some clarifying questions: - What do you mean by "can't get it to run"? Does it start up but not run the guest or does it not even start up or something else?
- What host OS and version are you running? - What VBoxOSE version are you running? I have Ubuntu 8.04 running VirtualBox OSE (VBose) 1.5.6, which works with all other Ubuntu's and Knoppix that I've tried, with the exception of Ubuntu 10.04 and jeos, but I had to tweak it a bit. I had Ubuntu 8.10 running running VBose 2.0.4 and Ubuntu 9.04 running VBose 2.1.4., both of which worked with all Ubuntu's and Knoppix that I tried without tweaking, but have not tried 10.04 on either of those. Keep in mind some of the "fancy" features are not available with VBose.
