I upped the Ram to 1.5 Gigs and put the thing to one side and watched a Colbert rerun. Surprise! Near the end I heard the tell tale sound of Ubuntu booting. A minute or so more and the Aubergine screen lit up. Then 45 seconds later, Ta-Da.
