I'm running 9.10 Ubuntu, installed Virtual box ose 3.08 from the
repositories, and am trying to run 10.04 Beta. In the virtual window I gave
the 32bit version of 10.04 12 Gigs HD, 1210 Gig RAM, 96 Megs video ram, 3D
enabled, and 1 processor. It loads the initial Ubuntu screen, which then
blanks, and resizes the window to a non-standard size and hangs. I can run
puppy linux with 1 Gig Ram but that's it.

I can run Puppy Linux with 1 Gig Ram, but only in Vesa format. In Xorg
version it hangs, too.
Would I be better off running the non-free version of Virtualbox?
