Where did you get this "statistic" from? The use of knives in crime is very
different to firearms, a great many knife injuries are intended
to be non fatal. Quoting the number of nicks and cuts through A&E
department doors verus deaths is meaningless.
If your aim is to kill someone with a knife then you would probably
succeed most of the time.
