Audie Murphy's first film was his own life story! At around
25 years of age!!!
The young boyish looking actor joined the army (was conscripted
I think) and went from Private to Major in around five years.
Mainly because of his heroism and coolness under fire, on the way
winning most of the American medals for heroism including the
Congressional Medal of Honour.
Apperently he later served as an undercover agent for the DEA
or some other Federal unit.
Audie Murphy later died in an aircrash.
