Stickledown is supposed to be a field fire range so I would assume that the
danger area behind the stop butts is much greater than that of Century which
is a gallery range. There may be very little practical difference at Bisley
except for clay pigeon shooters lurking in the undergrowth on Cottesloe
Heath so Perhaps a redesignation might make Peter Sarony's idea about using
armoured transport to Stickledown butts a possibility because the danger
area of Pirbright would surely overlap in a different manner and shooting
times could then also be varied
