        You email motivated me to try once more, and this time I succeeded! I  
followed the instuctions here:

http://webpy.org/install_macosx

        I skipped the steps for installing Python, web.py and Cheetah. I had  
to tweak the version of psycopg listed on the page to 2.0.9, but other  
than that, it worked. I can now type 'import psycopg2' on my Mac.
