Andrea,
Hi! That is one weird story to say the least! I would maybe check
out the "history" of the land itself.  Possibly something "dark" or
"weird" happened there in the past.  If it is a smallish type town
that you live in, a check at the library may turn something up on
your land.  I for one would always make sure they are on leash
unless in their fenced in area near the house.  I am the kind that
believes in all that "odd" stuff like aliens, ghosts etc.  Even saw
a ghost dog once! LOL Just keep your mind open, and do some
digging.  I am sure you will find your answers in time. Be sure to
let us know if you do!
