I think you found your answer...Fox and Mulder would be proud!.. LOL..
Paranormal experience occur far more frequently than people would like to
admit. Dogs have no preconceived ideas (or at least they don't "appear"
to) about what they see and react to.
What you describe sounds more like a poltergeist than a true "ghost".. The
difference, I am told, is that a poltergeist has decided to stay on "this
side"...and is full of mischievousness, play practical jokes, and often
are reported around houses that have teenagers (???... I am just
"reporting" here!.. LOL) Kind of a "kinetic" energy thing. A "ghost" on
the other hand, has missed the connection to the other side...and is in
search of a way to "find the light".
Way back in the 80's , my then boy-friends father died. The father was a
jokster supreme.. loved a practical joke... For many many months after his
death, I would find the make-up I had stashed in the ex-boyfriends spare
bathroom, piled on the living room floor with in minutes of my using it...
My eyelash curler would show up in the kitchen cabinet... ONLY when I was
at the boy friends... and ONLY after I had used the item!.. It got to me
after a while... I finally just had a long AUDIBLE chat with "Gene"... Told
him I would always remember him, but he had work to do, and he best be
about it.... No more make-up scattered about. I missed him for a
while....but my nerves sure settled down! Did we really have a "presence"
in his house?... who knows?...but I could never find an another explanation...
Once you quit being frightened... the fun is over..and it will most likely
go away...
........anyway......what a terrific story for Holloween, heh?...
.............and so it goes
