Hello,

Thanks for all the help, showing me how branches work. I've learned a lot about Darcs the last few days.

The following is not a question, but a suggestion. It would be good to provide a statically-linked Darcs binary that can be expected to work on any GNU/Linux computer.

The darcs web pages have pointers to binaries.

It is, unfortunately, impossible to produce a statically linked binary that works on all GNU/Linux systems, because darcs uses networking, and the part of the system that resolves host names depends on the system configuration, hence cannot be compiled in statically. There can be mismatches. I think, if you stick to the same glibc version number (2.2 or 2.3), you are still fine.
