Thanks for your note about darcs binaries. I agree with you that it is very important for users to be able to easily find and install darcs for their current platform, which is why I have spent some of my time maintaining the web pages where people are supposed to find such binaries. Is it that you were unaware of these web pages? Then perhaps we should make the link to those pages even more prominent (if possible). Or was it that you looked at those web pages, but didn't notice the section about Mandriva nor the section about the statically-linked binary for Linux? Then we should re-organize them somehow to help people find their platform of choice from among the options. Or was it that you looked at the Mandriva section of those web pages, but the instructions there were insufficient to get darcs running? Then we should fix those instructions. Please reply so we will know how to proceed.
