Is it that you were unaware of these web pages? Then perhaps we should
make
the link to those pages even more prominent (if possible).
This is the page we found:
http://darcs.net/DarcsWiki/CategoryBinaries
If that's the page you mean, then I'll say that it was very easy to
find. We also found the section on Mandriva easily. But we couldn't
install using those instructions.
I just wrote to my friend to tell her about urmpi. Let's see if that
works for her.
Or was it that you looked at those web pages, but didn't notice the
section
about Mandriva
I saw a section on Mandriva and we tried to follow the instructions:
http://darcs.net/DarcsWiki/CategoryBinaries#head-a92a2da5d0f8fc49a450c8ebfa6b0efbaf57ff0e
The instruction are the one for mandraker 10.1. I can try to write
something for mandriva LE2005 and 2006 if someone can correct my poor
english :-)
Also, mandriva 2006 and LE2005 will NOT provide newer version (excepted
bug fix only version) than the one at the release date. If someone need
it, I can build the last darcs for mandriva 2006 an make it available for
everyone.
nor the section about the statically-linked binary for Linux?
I didn't see this section. I still can't see it. Where is it?
Or was it that you looked at the Mandriva section of those web pages,
but the
instructions there were insufficient to get darcs running?
This one.
In summary:
1. We located the section on Mandriva quickly and easily.
2. We could not install for Mandriva from those instructions. I just
wrote to tell my friend about urpmi.
3. We could not (and still can't) see the section on statically linked
binaries for Linux.
Cheers,
Daniel.
