Who ever said you cannot edit a no-pristine-tree repository?
Once again: no-pristine-tree repositories work just like normal
repositories, except that some operations are much slower (and some are
a little bit faster). No special precautions need to be taken with such
repositories.
If that's not the case, then it's a bug, and one that wasn't introduced by
me.
