I guess the list is fine, but direct mail works, too. [Edit: see PS]

Actually we talked about this new feature in IRC already and I personally
think that darktable should definitely support these files. I guess direct
support for the video streams would be a little too special, but the extracted
DNGs are definitely in scope.

Thanks for the sample file, I already wanted to install ML on my 5d3 but I only
have 8 GB cards which are a little small for this. :)

I will definitely have a look into this and if it's possible to directly
support the sequences.

(Note to self: we would probably need a new column in the images table that
stores an offset into the file or something like that and then import every
frame with a different offset as an image or something like that)

On a mildly related note, today I pushed a new feature to git that might be
interesting for video workflows: a new waveform histogram mode. Next step will
be a lift/gamma/gain module, I am currently trying to figure out how to do the
UI. Once these are done it should be possible to color grade your footage with
a tool that many video editors already offer. :)

PS: I am forwarding this mail to the devel list, I guess having input from
others can help, so we should move the discussion to the public.
