I really have to disagree. Very sorry! This have been a recurring problem with Dt. :)
This belongs in the darktable-devel because we users want give your developers a message. And yes I have tried before. The message is clear. Dt have to improve in this field. And yes also I have also tried to use 'hot pixels' module several times but it don't always work. I hope that some of you have experience with other raw processor. But this is the situation. Lr have none of these problems and do a perfectly job with only 4 sliders. Rawtherapee solves this by 6 sliders in noise reduction and the white dots are removed by Impulse Noise Reduction filter. Both raw processor do a perfect job.
