I try not to shoot with ISO > 1600 on my 7D, but with 1600 I usually use
these settings for denoising:

hot pixels: threshold 0.005, strength 1.0
demosaic: color smoothing 3 times
denoise (profiled): mode wavelets, strength 1.0, blend mode color
(opacity 100%, uniformly)

for more noisy pictures I suggest adding second profiled denoise
instance with lightness blend mode and playing with strength slider of
both.

Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business. Most IT
organizations don't have a clear picture of how application performance
affects their revenue. With AppDynamics, you get 100% visibility into your
Java,.NET, & PHP application. Start your 15-day FREE TRIAL of AppDynamics Pro!
